To Be Human
I recently stumbled upon a magnificent quote from a yoga instructor in New York. His words beautifully sum up the question that plagues so many of us.
What are we here for?
“We are not here to make our strengths stronger. We are here to share them as gifts, while we lean in and strengthen our weaknesses.”
- Rian Bodner
When we are not only aware of the strengths we were born with, but share them with humility and grace, we uplift and empower our communities. We help ideas grow legs, we make the impossible possible, and we climb mountains.
Find your strengths and share them willingly.
Do not mistake however that our strengths are our only offerings. For within our weakest corners lies opportunity for human connection. None of us are born perfect, and when we recognize and embrace the reality of our humanity, we allow for growth and learning. Find solace in the discomfort that comes from weaknesses, knowing that we all share our own weaknesses.
Own your weaknesses as opportunities to be truly human. From these opportunities, you CAN grow.
